Eitelsbacher Alte Reben (old vines) Riesling dry 2020

Thus, the wine carries the typical aroma spectrum and mouthfeel of the unique combination of Devon slate with an iron vein: intense, very mineral-spicy nose, white stone fruit, crisp pear, a hint of citrus. Velvety and enormously juicy on the tongue, the acidity invigorates without any sharpness, new nuances are added with every sip. Made for eternity, but also wonderful to drink today.

The grapeThe grapes for this local wine come from the vineyards in the village of Eitelsbach and mostly from our monopollage Karthäuserhofberg with its unique microclimate and the unique combination of Devonian slate with an iron vein. In addition, we only use grapes from the older plots with vines that are approx. 45 years old.The special microclimate and the soil characterised by pink-copper Devonian clay slate make it a paradise for the production of top Rieslings.
The grapes are harvested by hand, then gently pressed and fermented in stainless steel in a controlled process. The wine then matures for six to eight months on the full lees, because time and patience pay off.
