Immich Batterieberg Steffensberg Riesling 2022 is a powerful white wine. Here, the addition of yeast was almost completely dispensed with. The wine was aged in used wooden barrels. Tasting note. Its delicate aroma evokes sparkling tangerine, ripe peach and mango, combined with floral and delicately spicy notes. On the palate, the tangerine and herbs remain present, with the addition of macadamia and a hint of caramel. A ripe, elegant wine with a wonderfully creamy texture that coats the palate. This wine ends with a very long finish. Still with elegant complexity, but never seeming too imposing. Its plump body is skillfully captured by the minerality characteristic of deep shale soils. The harmonious acidity and the obvious, well-integrated sweetness complement each other perfectly. Decanted, the Steffensberg Riesling is already a treat today and has excellent ageing potential. In a few years, under good storage conditions, this Riesling will continue to offer exceptional moments of culinary happiness.

Immich Batterieberg
The Immich-Batterieberg wine estate in Enkirch is one of the oldest wine estates in the Moselle. The first mention of the central part of the estate, which is still preserved today, dates back to 908 AD in a document of the last Carolingian king of East Francia, Ludwig IV, who confirmed a handover of the estate to the church.
