Karthäuserhofberg Kabinett Riesling off-dry 2020
The first fruity notes (juicy peach, grapefruit, white currants) appear and the slate literally pushes its way out of the glass. Very juicy and densely woven on the palate, lots of melting, sweetness well integrated and countered by the invigorating acidity. A Kabinett that will continue to reveal new facets over the next two decades.

The grapes for this classic Prädikat wines come from the exclusive monopol vineyard Karthäuserhofberg with an optimal orientation to the south-southwest and a slope inclination of up to 55%. The special microclimate and the soil characterised by pink-copper Devonian clay slate make it a paradise for the production of top Rieslings.
The grapes are harvested by hand, then gently pressed and fermented in stainless steel in a controlled process. The wine then matures for six to eight months on the full lees, because time and patience pay off.
