Marienburg "Felsterrasse" Riesling Grand vineyard dry 2021
The Marienburg Felsterrasse offers a gorgeous bouquet of pear, starfruit, ginger, aniseed and mental herbs, spices, and smoke. The wine is smoky and juicy on the almost dry-tasting palate and leaves a beautifully spicy and lingering feel of anis, ginger, and ripe orchard fruits in the long finish. A kick of gooseberry and cassis adds pep to the aftertaste.

An imposing vineyard - an imposing wine. The ancient vines of this ancient terrace site regularly produce a wine of intense minerality, elegance and depth, which only really shows what it is made of after a few years of bottle ageing. The light grey slate here is interspersed with layers containing iron and is even less weathered than in the adjacent areas. Working in our declared favourite vineyard and many grapes have been damaged by falling rocks from the rock face above. But the wine compensates for the effort...
