Hand-picked on 11 October 2022. Very steep and warm south to south-east exposure, protected from the wind by a large rocky slope (former quarry), strong sun reflection due to direct exposure to the Moselle, lots of blue and grey slate, 50-70 year old vines, high planting density (9000 vines per hectare), cool nights bring the "Burger Bach", single-row training, harvest in 30-litre boxes, pre-harvest material, low yields (40 hl/ha), slow pneumatic pressing, 15-hour sedimentation, rather cloudy must, filled into 1000-litre stainless steel tanks, spontaneous vinification, bottled mid-March 2023.
