Neefer Frauenberg Riesling Grand Cru ( Grosses Gewächs) dry 2021
In the Neefer Frauenberg, the finely weathered slate gives rise to Rieslings that impress with their fruit and elegance. The fruit literally jumps out at you when you smell it in the glass. Due to the low yields of the old vines, the wines are very concentrated and have complex fruit aromas.

For the Großes Gewächs, we only use selectively hand-picked grapes from vines that are true to the roots. Here we harvest very fully ripe berries, with power and a lot of extract. A Großes Gewächs is already something more in the glass than a fresh, simple Riesling. Strong dishes may also be chosen here. A great fillet of beef or a hearty roast is no problem, as is pike-perch on Riesling foam.

Kilian Franzen
In Europe's steepest vineyard in Bremm on the Moselle, Kilian Franzen and his wife harvest the grapes that grow in the Kapplay, Neefer Frauenberg, Abbey Kloster Stuben and the world-famous Bremmer Calmont sites. The Franzen family has been growing grapes in Bremm for centuries, and in the early 1980s, Kilian's father took over the business and laid the foundation for the production of dry, low-acid wines from the steep slopes of the Bremmer Calmont.
