Thanks to the optimal ripening conditions, this is a typical, classic Mosel Riesling with a hint of subtle sweetness. With a minerality and multi-faceted fruit aromas of exotic fruits such as mango or orange, but also strawberries, it delights the palate. With time to mature, a more complex aroma develops. Hand picked and gently pressed, the grapes are the basis for a high wine quality. Fermentation takes place with natural yeasts in classic Mosel wooden barrels and lies on the lees until May.
The Ansgar Clüsserath winery can look back on a long tradition in viticulture. It was founded as early as 1670 and has been family-owned ever since. Today, Eva Clüsserath-Wittmann manages the winery together with her parents. The generations before her have constantly developed the winery and accumulated a wealth of experience, which still comes into play today.
