Auf der Rausch GG (Grand Cru) Riesling 2018 - 1,5L
Curtain up for the premiere of this great new GG's from our cellar. Auf der Rausch is an old vineyard (1.96 ha) in the VDP.GROSSEN LAGE Saarburger Rausch and is particularly characterised by its high diabase content. The nose is slightly smoky, invitingly stony and one finds fine, wet slate as well as dried herbs such as camomile and hay.

Very silky acidity on the palate, purist, almost weightless and pleasant, very great drinkability and length. This debut is a true long-distance runner, as the long ageing in large wooden barrels (18 months) means that it matures more slowly, as its desire for oxidation has already been satisfied.
Drinking suggestions:
Bouillabaisse, white halibut in crustacean jus on spring leeks with braised cherry tomatoes.
