Briedeler Herzchen Riesling dry 2022
Aromas of sweet, ripe stone fruit with a discreet schist minerality and fine acidity. Briedeler Herzchen is an elegant and balanced Riesling that is second to none. This is when its clear, expressionistic nose of lemon, slate and herbs really comes into its own. Plenty of power from the fruit and minerality, yet skillfully balanced by the phenolic structure.

Supple and full-bodied with an exuberant character, yet retains its elegance until the end. The use of wood remains pleasantly in the background in the Batterieberg Briedeler Herzchen. It gives the wine a wonderful depth and strength. Even in the long finish, its fruitiness and mineral note remain present. A complex and deep white wine with a very nice balance between sugar and acidity. A classy wine that stands out from the standard Riesling image. It goes very well with seafood, sushi and fine fish dishes.
The grapes of Immich-Batterieberg Briedeler Herzchen Riesling arrive whole in the cellar and macerate for three days to preserve and enhance all their typical aromas. After this period, the Immich-Batterieberg Briedeler Herzchen Riesling must is pressed by hand and left in a stainless steel tank for another three days. During this time, the small particles and plant debris responsible for the bitter and herbal aromas fall to the bottom, resulting in a much cleaner and more aromatic must. Fermentation, which starts spontaneously, takes place both in steel tanks and in used barrels (in which a greater or lesser volume is placed depending on the year's harvest). It stays there for 2 to 7 months, where it comes into contact with the fine lees, which gives the Riesling Immich-Batterieberg Briedeler Herzchen fullness, softness and body.

Immich Batterieberg
The Immich-Batterieberg wine estate in Enkirch is one of the oldest wine estates in the Moselle. The first mention of the central part of the estate, which is still preserved today, dates back to 908 AD in a document of the last Carolingian king of East Francia, Ludwig IV, who confirmed a handover of the estate to the church.
