The Erdener Treppchen vineyard is located on the left bank of the Moselle, opposite Erden and downstream from Ürzig, facing south. The soil consists of slate. The site is planted almost exclusively with Riesling. The Erdener Treppchen is a Große Lage of the Verband Deutscher Prädikats- und Qualitätsweingüterand is approved for Große Gewächse of the Bernkasteler Ring.
