Ockfener Bockstein Riesling Spätlese (late vintage) 2023
The fruit sweetness seems fresh and animating. In combination with the racy sourness, the Ockfener Bockstein Spätlese is incredibly fun. The tongue is coated by the fine residual sweetness, and so the wonderful aromatics stick to the palate for a long time.
A really very sophisticated and flattering Spätlese from the Bockstein.

the fruity-sweet Kabinett and Spätlese wines at Wagners always come from the VDP. GROSSEN LAGE Ockfener Bockstein.
This site is really a prime example of finesse and power.
A fine floral aroma, acacia honey and a hint of vineyard peach invite me to take the first test sip.

Dr. Wagner
For 5 generations, the Wagner family has been cultivating the best slate steep slopes of the Saar in painstaking manual labour, as in the days of the founders. Steep slopes, old Riesling vines in traditional single-pole training, manual work in the vineyard, gentle, selective, manual harvesting, maturation in traditional wooden barrels - the Fuder - at 100% - the quality of the wines proves that they are right.
