Alt Scheidt Riesling off-dry 2022
Alt Scheidt Saar Riesling slightly off-dry, from the Saar Valley balanced and fine, for everyday enjoyment. Riesling, Saarland and slate. Mineral-fresh and with an exciting bouquet of wild yeasts, it is the archetype of the animating Saar Riesling.

Florian Lauer's Gutswein comes from slate vineyards. Whole grapes are pressed, followed by spontaneous fermentation. The wine stays briefly on the lees before being bottled. Perfumed and playful nose, lemon zest and lilac, almost going a little towards jasmine, slight reminiscences of pinot blanc. A chic, floral, playful and calm nose. On the other hand, the palate gets carried away, but really. Lots of mineral acuity, racy and slender, running through the mid-palate. Grassy, citric, grippy, stony, almost like a piece of slate in the mouth. Simply a pleasure - Good flow with expressive acidity that supports the long finish - Pairs perfectly with blanquette de Volaille.
