In addition to the floral and spicy aromas familiar to Bockstein, this one is joined by a particularly refined potpourri of yellow and stone fruits such as pear, Golden Delicious apple, ripe peach and apricot. The aging potential of this wine is almost immeasurable, so that the flavor becomes more complex and refined with increasing years of aging, without losing finesse. While the residual sweetness gradually recedes into the background, all the flavors merge more and more into a perfectly balanced whole.

Late harvests, as the name suggests, are harvested quite late during the grape harvest, so that the grapes tend to be full to overripe and show a slight botrytis in parts. Due to the warm and dry summer, the berries in the old vineyards of the Bockstein reached an exceptionally high level of ripeness with a constant supply of water, which is particularly noticeable in the variety of flavors in the wine. Nik Weis - St. Urbans Hof
The St. Urbanshof wine estate has its roots in one of the most beautiful sunny locations on the Moselle: an elegant loop of the river follows the course of the sun along the gently sloping vineyards, where the wine estate was built and founded in 1947 by Nicolaus Weis under the name "St. Urbans-Hof" on an enchanting hill. Since 1997, Nik Weis, the third generation, has been running the estate on an area of around 35 hectares, from which he produces refined delicacies, specialising in Riesling.
