Saarburger "Alte Reben" Riesling 2023 dry
The Riesling Saarburger Old Vines keeps what its name promises. A wine that is low in alcohol and yet presents itself very concentrated and complex on the palate. Here one discovers riper fruits on the nose and a delicate herbal aroma. Just one sip of this wine and the mouth is completely filled.

A wine that will probably only really show its potential in the coming time. The old vines, some of which are over 50 years old, present us their skills in their most beautiful way - concentrated, complex, fruity, mineral, sophisticated, long-lasting - to name just a few of many nice words for this great wine. A wine that should not be missing in any wine cellar.
This VDP. ORTSWEIN may only be vinified from the Saarburg sites of the winery. These include the Saarburger Rausch and the Saarburger Kupp.
In addition, the vines must be at least 35 years old to be called Old Vines.
When you smell the wine for the first time, it seems somewhat restrained and reserved. If you give the wine some time and oxygen, the Riesling develops quickly and shows its chocolate side.

Dr. Wagner
For 5 generations, the Wagner family has been cultivating the best slate steep slopes of the Saar in painstaking manual labour, as in the days of the founders. Steep slopes, old Riesling vines in traditional single-pole training, manual work in the vineyard, gentle, selective, manual harvesting, maturation in traditional wooden barrels - the Fuder - at 100% - the quality of the wines proves that they are right.
