Saarburger "Laurentius" Riesling 2023 dry
The Laurentius has a very promising nose with aromas of honeydew melon, pineapple, peach, citrus and slate - the mouthfeel is precise and clear, yet the wine is grippy and complex on the palate. A wine that is already fun to drink, but can also be allowed to mature for a few more years.

Since 2017, the Saarburger Laurentiusberg has been added to the three main vineyards Rausch, Kupp and Bockstein and in 2018, the first independent wine was vinified from this site. This vineyard, located directly above the Saar, is planted with vines that are still rooted, some of which are over 100 years old.

Dr. Wagner
For 5 generations, the Wagner family has been cultivating the best slate steep slopes of the Saar in painstaking manual labour, as in the days of the founders. Steep slopes, old Riesling vines in traditional single-pole training, manual work in the vineyard, gentle, selective, manual harvesting, maturation in traditional wooden barrels - the Fuder - at 100% - the quality of the wines proves that they are right.
