Enkircher Zeppwingert - Riesling Auslese noble sweet- Villa Huesgen 2023
Villa Huesgen Riesling Auslese impresses with its light yellow colour with green reflections. Clean, ripe aromas of honey, apricot and a hint of minty freshness on the nose. On the palate, light herbal spiciness, nutty - an elegant and exclusive companion, especially dessert wine.

This particularly noble wine is made from hand-picked and specially selected grapes. A long-aged Riesling with distinct aromas of mirabelle plum, apricot and peach, citrus fruits and a hint of passion fruit in the background. Very well balanced with an excellent finish, a fine sweetness and juicy fruit. A wine with great depth and length, a fine sweetness and crisp acidity.
Site: The single vineyard Zeppwingert (Wingert being the oldest German term for land planted with vines) is located on the Starkenburg slope and is characterised by a very quartzite-rich and iron-rich slate soil. This steeply sloping site with pure southern exposure has particularly old, rootless vineyards with low yields that produce powerful Rieslings with a lot of expression.
Cultivation: Mainly single vineyard, no herbicides, sustainable viticulture.
Vinification: Stainless steel, gravity principle, cold fermentation, spontaneous fermentation, with longer maceration time
Ageing potential: 25 years plus
Goes well with: Foie gras, mature blue cheese, with desserts such as crème brulée or lukewarm apple crumble.

Villa Huesgen
At the center is the villa of the Huesgen family, as family residence, company headquarters and symbol of the family tradition. Built according to the designs of the Berlin architect Bruno Möhring, it is still considered a jewel of Art Nouveau today. The villa stands for the foundation of a great wine tradition. A tradition that today is continued, lived and redesigned in a modern way by Adolph Huesgen VIII.
