Erdener Treppchen Riesling Auslese (selection) 2018
Auslese with great finesse, due to the invigorating acidity you feel the sweetness is very harmonious. Explosion of flavor as an aperitif, with blue cheese, baked goat cheese or a chocolate dessert or cake of dark chocolate.

The famous vineyard site Erdener Treppchen (Little Staircase of Erden) is named after the stone steps that were dug into this vineyard's steep hillside to help workers access the vines. The slate soil here is tinted red by its iron content, and produces wines that are powerful and complex, with intensely mineral characters. These wines often benefit from a few years maturing in the bottle.

Mönchhof
The Mönchhof vineyard in Ürzig is one of the oldest vineyards on the Moselle. As early as 1177, Pope Alexander III confirmed the Cistercian Abbey of Himmerod's ownership of the vineyards in Ürzig. At that time, the monks built the vaulted cellar that still exists today. Today's winery building dates back to 1509.
