Kaseler Nies'chen -Im Taubenberg - Grand Cru Riesling dry 2021
Of the three Grosses Gewächsen of the Nies'chen, the Taubenberg puts the fruity element in the foreground. On the nose, aromas of ripe stone fruit come together with exotic citrus notes, joined by a floral touch of meadow flowers. With a rich texture and a hint of residual sugar, the wine first begins to ingratiate itself on the palate. A juicy acidity also contributes to this. As the taste progresses, noticeable nuances of crisp peach and firm minerality unfold, so that the finish does not lack contours.

The Kaseler Nies'chen, the top vineyard of the Ruwer valley, produces concentrated, mineral wines with intense fruit aromas. Fragrant Riesling classics thrive on the very steep slope, with flavours ranging from dry to noble sweet. The wines have good ageing potential and show a nice development of maturity in the bottle. The reason for this is the dense structure of the wines caused by minerals.
