Ürziger Würzgarten Riesling Auslese*** (selection) 2020
The nose and mouth are dominated by wonderful aromas of ripe fruit and silky honey. Together with the invigorating acidity, the sweetness develops a great finesse.
The Ürziger Würzgarten Riesling Auslese Joh. Jos. Christoffel Erben complements the delicate flavors of baked goat cheese or blue cheese or warm chocolate cake.

The famous vineyard site "Ürziger Würzgarten" is the only site in this wine-growing region that has a volcanic soil in combination with red slate (rhyolite). You can only find this red slate in this part of the Moselle valley.
Another special feature are the extremely old rootless vines. While most European vineyards were destroyed by phylloxera from 1860 onwards, the vines in this region could not be attacked by phylloxera due to their stony subsoil.
Food recommendation:he Ürziger Würzgarten Riesling Auslese Joh. Jos. Christoffel Erben complements the delicate flavors of baked goat cheese or blue cheese or warm chocolate cake.
