Wawener Riesling off-dry 2022
Subtle slate notes open the dance on the nose, joined by crisp white pear, peach and a whole host of herbal tones. Lean and dry on the palate, it approaches the aromas thoughtfully, almost philosophically. Acidity is balanced against fruit; minerality is balanced by texture; verve and verve join juiciness.

Through it all weaves the cool, tense and unmistakable minerality of the Saar, from the first inkling in the nose to the last sip. The subtle hint of dill flowers leads into a concentrated finish dominated by pears. Calm, thoughtful, with a lot of potential.
The herbal notes literally call out for vibrant vegetable dishes from the Eastern Mediterranean, with the warm depth of spices like Ras El hanout, cumin and black garlic.

Von Othegraven
Günther Jauch has been the owner of the von Othegraven winery since 2010. Günther Jauch is the grandson of Elsa von Othegraven and it was important to him to continue the tradition of the winery. So he brought the well-known oenologist Andreas Barth on board. Andreas Barth is well known and his quality-oriented approach coincides with the ideas of the "new" owner. Thus, in 2011 and 2012, the old style of the winery returned and seamlessly continues the success of old times.
