Cuvée Clara - Sparkling wine dry - Nik Weis
This noble and sophisticated cuvée is called "Cuvée Clara". It was named after the daughter of Nik and Daniela Weis.
It is almost a classic champagne cuvée of Chardonnay and Pinot Noir. However, for the "Mosel Touch" a shot of Riesling comes into play, because of the freshness, effervescence and elegance but also because it is Mosel.

This combination of three grape varieties makes this sparkling wine as unusual as exciting. Cuvée Clara is produced according to the method of traditional bottle fermentation, in which the bottles are shaken off by hand.
After 20 months on the yeast, our sparkling wine "Cuvée Clara" is disgorged, that is, removed from the yeast and put on the market with the flavor Brut. This sparkling wine has light golden reflections. The mousseux, that is the foaming, is silky fine. On the palate, it is characterized by both a fine fruit but also a savory minerality and spiciness, coupled with nuances of fresh pastry. The sparkling wine has a long finish, but still leaves room for the next sip immediately

Nik Weis - St. Urbans Hof
The St. Urbanshof wine estate has its roots in one of the most beautiful sunny locations on the Moselle: an elegant loop of the river follows the course of the sun along the gently sloping vineyards, where the wine estate was built and founded in 1947 by Nicolaus Weis under the name "St. Urbans-Hof" on an enchanting hill. Since 1997, Nik Weis, the third generation, has been running the estate on an area of around 35 hectares, from which he produces refined delicacies, specialising in Riesling.
