Klüsserather Bruderschaft Old Vines Riesling 2018
In stock
Strong golden yellow in the glass, intense fruit aromas on the nose, ripe tropical fruits such as pineapple and mango. On the palate a concentrated fruit and as in the nose ripe tropical fruit. Powerful minerality without being opulent. The fruit is carried by the residual sweetness, balanced by the acidity, and transitions into a long, warm-spicy finish. In addition, subtle caramel notes accompany this dried fruit aroma.
Food pairing : Drunk young with spicy dishes for starters and main courses. For example, game paté, paella, Indian curries and the like. Matured also with strong meat dishes for example with game, beef or spicy cheese.

The star of the Klüsserath brotherhood. From the central part with 100 year old vines. The full strength of the southern slope is already evident in the must, which settles overnight and then ferments spontaneously. As with other terroir wines, the old vines undergo malolactic fermentation. The resulting lactic acid perfectly balances the powerful fruit flavors without being too harsh.

Food recommendation : Drunk young with spicy dishes as starters and main courses. For example game paté, paella, Indian curries and similar. Matured also with strong meat dishes, for example with game, beef or spicy cheese.
The star of the Klüsserather brotherhood. From the central part with 100 year old vines. Very small-grained and therefore concentrated. The full power of the southern slope is already evident in the must, which is sedimented overnight and then fermented spontaneously. As with the other site wines, the old vines go through the biological acid degradation. The resulting lactic acid perfectly balances the powerful fruit flavors without being too harsh. The late bottling in late summer, just like the subsequent bottle aging of at least one year, ensures the harmony in the wine.
Schlossgut Liebieg
Inge and Bernhard Kirsten have been making a name for themselves in the wine world since 1992. The castle estate is run in an ecological way. Their philosophy is: respect for nature and sustainable action in the vineyard during the harvest and in the cellar management. This is how authentic wines are created, marked by the terroir, without superfluous interventions, which embody the particular terroir of the Moselle. Organic certification is particularly important to the estate.
